“The moment I got the keys, I felt happy. The area is a vibe, great school and bus links, and the neighbours are lovely. There are lots of green areas for both walking or family activities, great restaurants and cafes which are walking distance. This home had been a true blessing, it has high ceilings, spacious rooms, with a homely feel, and a large family garden. I loved this home, but its time to down size.”

The home

An extended three bedroom house on Wick Road. The house has a living room to the front with bay window over looking the street. To the rear is a second living area and also a dining room which leads to the kitchen which has been extended and spans the width of the house. Upstairs are three bedrooms and the family bathroom.”

The outside

The garden is a great size for the area and has a lawn and plenty of mature shurbs and trees. The garden also has a large shed.

Living in Brislington

Situated in a lovely pocket of houses in Brislington, this property is within walking distance of several well-regarded shops and cafes including Kin and Deli at Sandy Park. Paintworks is also just a short walk and is home to Miro Lounge and Alex Does Coffee. Tapestry and Lost & Grounded are nationally renowned Bristol breweries with tap rooms, both of which are within walking distance.

The area is popular with young professionals and families, being both close to the city centre but also accessible to several parks and larger green areas, such as the Nightingale Valley Nature Reserve and St Annes Wood. Arnos Vale Cemetery is just a short walk away and there are fairly extensive footpaths around the River Avon, which wrap around Brislington through some scenic spots, which includes the popular Beese’s Riverside Bar to the west. The area is also home to several good schools, such as Holymead and Broomhill Infants and Juniors. For commuters, Brislington is well placed, with several buses running through the area including the Park & Ride, as well as routes for cycling and walking to Bristol City Centre.
