"This leafy little corner of St Werburgh’s has been the perfect place for our family for the past 8 years. Many happy hours have been spent in Mina Road Park or exploring Narroways nature reserve. The house has a lovely bright but cosy feel and the garden room provides a calm work space away from the house. We are so lucky to have two gardens, one of which we use as our allotment – what a treat to eat raspberries straight from the bush on a summer morning!"
The home
A spacious three bedroom terraced house in a quiet spot in the heart of St. Werburghs. These houses have a real feel of being surrounded by nature and being in the middle of the terrace this is the best location for this vibe. The home is spacious with an open plan ground floor and beautifully light due to the mid-century design. All bedrooms are an excellent size and both the bathroom and kitchen are cleverly designed to combine form and function perfectly. A great family home with loads of space to grow into.
The outside
These houses have the rare bonus of having excellent sized gardens to both the front and rear. Many of the Victorian houses locally have small and overlooked gardens and this certainly isn't the case here. The front garden faces West and had planters for a vegetable garden as well as lawn space, ideal for catching the afternoon and evening sun. The rear garden is the perfect spot for a morning coffee as well as housing a super handy home office. There's a gated off street parking space for one car.
Living in St Werburghs
Weedon Close is one of the quietest streets in the area, tucked on the Eastern fringe of the neighbourhood and bordering Eastville and Narroways Nature Reserve. Despite the peaceful setting, everything the area has to offer is within easy walking distance. Morning croissants from Chaya, Pilates at St Werburghs Community Centre, a pint by the fire at The Miners Arms, wine and dumplings at Clouds, or a visit to St Werburghs City Farm to feed the goats before brunch at The Farm Cafe: the rhythms of life here are hard to give up. Wiper & True Tap Room, the Better Food Company, and Bloc Climbing at the end of Mina Road add to a neighbourhood that has genuine depth and community. The Church Climbing Academy is a short stroll away, and the nearby M32 provides easy access to Bristol Parkway and the wider motorway network.
